Rannoch Moor

Rannoch Moor

If you’re searching for wild, rugged Scotland, look no further than Rannoch Moor. The moor covers an area of 20 square miles at a height of over 1000 feet. The terrain is mostly peat and bog overlying granite with lochs, islets and heather clad slopes. Remote, wild and desolate Rannoch Moor is one of the last unspoilt areas in Europe so much so that it is a favourite location with film directors and has featured in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Rob Roy and Trainspotting.
